This year has seen a big increase in our local community cycle activities and events with our support of the Kettering Community Cycle Club and our monthly Active Travel Hub. The purchase of our smoothie bike has encouraged us to get out and about even more! Our Growth for Good project to support the local social enterprise network (NNSE) we head up has given us a boost in local collaborations and wider benefits for us all.
We've also been working on local Walking and Cycling Plans to improve local cycle routes - for Corby and Kettering. Local organisations we support such as Grange Primary Academy and Rushden Lakes have acheived their own sustainable travel awards. Our Brand My Thingy range of general promotional products has grown too enabling us to continue to plough back 100% of profits into our active travel campaigns.
We love our local community project work so hope to increase that and make it easier for more people to get into cycling or rediscover it as a great way of getting around. We've worked with a lot of children and schools in the past and know that adults too want a bit of the action.
We've some great ideas for boosting active travel in our town centre too so watch this space for our high street ideas.
