Coronation.

The Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May 2023 is a great excuse to show how your street can be much more people-friendly by holding a street party.

To celebrate this auspicious event (and the extra bank holiday!) we have a launched two new products; our ‘Road Open for Coronation’ sign to highlight the fact that a ‘road closure’ for motor vehicles is actually a ‘road open’ for everyone else.

For those parents, teachers or event organisers looking for a good value souvenir to give to children which has a long-lasting great purpose, we’ve launched our special edition clip on reflectors. So months or years after the special day these can still be helping children to be bright and seen when out and about at night.

Our Coronation collection also includes our Road Closed banner signs which are ideal for street closures as they help you fulfil your legal obligations (most Highways teams will allow these practical banners as an alternative to the more costly and more cumbersome rigid traditional Road Closed signs).

And who doesn’t love big bubbles?  They are a great outdoors activity including for street parties. Ours are eco friendly and include a multi-bubble wand for streams of bubbles.

Whether or not you have managed to arrange a street closure for these festivities, if you love the idea of freeing your street from motor traffic and making it a big, social space for everyone…check out the amazing work by Playing Out CIC. They support communities and councils to create ‘play streets’ so closing the road is a much easier, more regular process.

What’s more, 10% of the sales of our ‘Road Open for’ signs, our ‘Road Closed’ banners and all other items in our regular Playing Out shop goes to Playing Out to support the wonderful work they do.

Finally we recommend you get your orders in for our Coronation range as soon as possible – time is short and stock is limited so don’t miss out!
