Hello 2026…  and happy new year to all our customers, partners and beneficiaries from all of us at Brightwayz. What’s ahead for active travel campaign inspiration?

Are you feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead? Or are you starting slow and looking for some ideas to get your pace up? Take a look at some of the opportunities we have lined up for you to help you get started with your active travel campaign journeys this year.

Local Schools Head for the STARS

As the newly-appointed provider of school travel plan support for North Northants we are excited to start supporting up to 40 schools this year in their Modeshift STARS journeys. That’s helping them to achieve and implement accredited travel plans to help address school run issues and help pupils to have safer, greener, healthier journeys to school. We’ll be reaching out to schools in the county but they are welcome to get in touch too to get ahead of the game!

Social Value 

Did you know that 100% of Brightwayz profits are ploughed back into our active travel campaigns? We’re proud to be a social enterprise and many of our customers love to know their spend with us doesn’t just give them inspiring products but adds social value. We’ve plans to grow our impactful projects even more in 2026.

New Green Promo Website Launched

But did you also know that as well as our specialist range of active travel engagement products, we offer a wider range of eco and ethical promo products - for any campaign or event? We’ll be building on our new Green Hearts scheme to flag up the best eco and ethical choices from our Brightwayz Green Promo range over the next couple of months. Hurrying Along with Harry’s Way

Before the holidays we had a great time with pupils with additional needs from a local arts group providing travel training. This was part of our Harry’s Way programme which we are looking forward to growing in 2026 - including providing free refurbished bikes to participants.

Art on the Route 

Also in development is our new Art on the Route (as you Walk, Wheel or Scoot) project. This combines positive climate action tips, street art and performance art to help highlight and promote active travel in our home town of Kettering. Look out for lots more on this and get involved if you are local! 

More Events

If you can’t join us for that, look out for all our other local opportunities for example promoting active travel at Rushden Lakes, Highfield estate and on the local Greenway. Keep an eye on our events page for opportunities. 

Monthly Hub Continues

Brrr… bit cold init?! A big shout out to our Active Travel hub volunteers and support who continue to turn up every last Saturday of the month to provide free cycle service, security marking and active travel info… despite the chilly temperatures. Now it’s in partnership with Stride & Ride CIC whose focus is on practical local solutions. Head for Kettering marketplace if you’d like help from them.

We Love to Meet You!

Even if you aren’t local but work in the active travel sector we can still get together!! Members of our project team will be at regional Modeshift meetings across the UK and at the national conference in Manchester in the autumn.
