Spin the Wheel at our Active Travel Hub

‘Spin 2 Win’ … is the latest attraction at our active travel hub, created by our wonderful mechanic Wesley at Brightwayz. Alongside our free cycle repairs and bike sales (now headed up by Stride & Ride CIC) we enjoyed testing the fun game out today.

Guess the colour that will end up by the bottom arrow. Every spinner is a winner though and takes away a free spokie to brighten up their bike.

So what’s the underlying aim of this activity?  Children come to our stall with their parents and can have fun with their three free ‘spins’.  But the real purpose happens later. 

They take their proudly ‘won’ spokie home and with their parents are encouraged to go find their bike… maybe get it out of the shed for the first time in months, so they can put their spokie on a spoke. And whilst they’ve got their bike out, guess what, they can have a nice pedal around.

We think it’s a great way to get little people back into cycling!
